Wheee! The site is just about all done now, main things that aren't done are (i) the guestbook (this is really going to be changed to something else) and (ii) the video section doesnt have thumbnails yet but I'll get to them soon... Meanwhile, enjoy the site and all the photos - the diary and the 2 to 3 year old sections are updated quite frequently, so come back often to see and read the adventures of Yemisi!

Yemisi's 2nd birthday party photos are now online, and a whole bunch of photos of Grandma's visit and her age 2 photos. More news to come.... The little baby is growing up fast isn't she? Well in recent news, we went up to Michigan last weekend to visit our cousins, and the photos are here.

Yemisi has learned to say "You're welcome" now - well at least sometimes - in response to "Thank you". Very cool!

Go sit in your high chair - Monday, June 6, 2005
I love the fact that we can communicate so well now - now, shortly after Yemisi wakes up, and we've brushed her teeth, all I have to do it go in the kitchen and start making her breakfast and I tell her "Go get in your high chair" and she runs over and climbs in and waits for me to bring her breakfast! I love it!

Speaking of breakfast, why did she dip her cheerios in ketchup?

Well Balanced - Thursday, June 2, 2005
Sometimes when we go out shopping for example, I let Yemisi have a little bit of freedom, and she walks a few steps ahead of me - of course I can see her and she's really not that far away from me, so she's not in any danger - but she likes to do it to test her independence, which is fine. When I'm ready for her to come back to me, I often squat down and stretch out my arms and she runs into my arms for a hug, usually giggling wildly. Well, this afternoon, we were at the grocery store and we did the same thing, and she chose to COVER HER EYES WITH HER HANDS and run towards me! I was completely terrified that she would fall, but she was actually so close that by the time i could even try to get up to "rescue" her, she was already in my arms. A couple of ladies who were standing close to me remarked to me "Your little girl has better balance that I do!"
